Interlocked Subtidal Reef

The interlocked subtidal reef units provide habitat for species in areas with rocky or sandy bottoms. The two interlocking triangles suspend the perforated areas off the ocean floor for organism colonization. Multiple units can be clustered to form a diverse structured subtidal habitat where otherwise barren sea floors exist. The units also function as a subtidal riprap, reducing the affect of wave energy on the seashore, thereby mitigating erosion.
